Gas network service
For the purposes of Natural Gas Act, network service means the provision of natural gas transmission and distribution service through a network.
Elering provides natural gas transmission service, which is the transportation of gas through the transmission system to the agreed connection point or from the connection point to the transmission system.

Standard terms and conditions
From 1 January 2020, “Elering AS standard terms and conditions for national gas transmission service”, approved by decision No. 7-10/2019-006 of 6 September 2019 of the Competition Authority, and the “Common Regulations for the Use of Natural Gas Transmission System” (Estonian-Latvian common network rules), approved by decision No. 7-10/2019-007 of 30 September 2019 of the Competition Authority, entered into force.
Decision No. 7-10/2023-002 of 28 February 2023 of the Competition Authority approved the amendments to the Estonian-Latvian common network rules, which came into effect on 1 April 2023. The purpose of the amendment to the standard terms and conditions is to comply with the requirements set out in Article 14 of European Commission Regulation 2022/2576 adopted on 19 December 2022.
