Connection capacity application e-Gridmap
On 29.08.2025 Elering launched renewed version of e-Gridmap map application. The application provides preliminary information about the connection possibilities in the main power grid and costs based on Elering AS’s electricity transmission network connection price list.
Important to keep in mind:
- the indicated connection costs in the map application are an estimation and the costs may be specified in the process of drawing up the connection agreement and differ form the first estimation;
-
the main power grind in the map application contains the already existing power grid along with new power lines and substations that are being built according to Elering's Fixed investments in the fullfillment process of signed connection contracts;
- some existing substations can not be expanded. A list of the non-expandable substations is provided in the file on Elering's website: Nimekiri Elering AS-i olemasolevatest A ja B tüüpi 110 kV ning mittelaiendatavatest alajaamadest 10.09.2025. In case of a connection request in a non-expandable substation, a new substation will be constructed in the connection process in a location specified by Elering, with and expansion option for additional future perspective connections;
- not more than two substations with a run-through schematic may be built consecutively on one power line according to the "Techinal Pricliples and Solutions for the Transimission System Operator's Electrical Installations" (paragraph 4.6.5.4 and 4.7.5.3). A list of run-through substations is provided in the substation list mentioned in the paragraph above;
- in case of applying for a connection in a fixed-term substation we kindly ask to contact Elering's network service project managers for information about the feasibility of the connection and the terms to extend the network connection in a fixed-term substation. The principles for a connection in a fixed-term substation are described in the document "Techinal Pricliples and Solutions for the Transimission System Operator's Electrical Installations" (paragraph 1.3);
- the substations and power lines location in the map application may differ a bit from the actual geographical locations;
- different overhead power lines on joint pylons are displayed in different routes.
For more detailed information on connection—such as the exact connection fee, the expected completion time for the network connection, and other technical requirements—applicants must submit a connection or preliminary study application through the connection information system at egle.ee.
