Connection capacity application e-Gridmap
NB! e-Gridmap will no longer be updated in this form. A newer version is being developed.
e-Gridmap application for connection capacities and application connection costs:
- shows approximate connection capacities at substations, which do not require the transmission capacities of transmission lines to be increased;
- calculates the approximate cost of network reinforcements and substation work when connecting with the requested connection capacity at the respective substation.
The results are presented for connection at a single substation and do not take into account a situation where connection capacity is requested at different substations at the same time. The limit for connection capacity calculations in the 110 kV network is 100 MVA, and 300 MVA in the 330 kV network. The calculations shown in e-Gridmap apply to those who need to establish a new grid connection in order to connect to the network.
e-Gridmap data is updated quarterly or more frequently, and the date of the latest update is shown in the map view. For questions related to e-Gridmap, please contact [email protected]
For more detailed information, such as the amount of the connection fee, the expected date of completion of the connection, and other technical requirements, the client to connect to the network must submit an application for a pre-feasibility study through Elering’s information system for connections egle.ee.

Although, according to e-Gridmap, only few substations currently have available generating capacities, this does not mean that generating capacity cannot be obtained. For additional generating capacity, the client has to submit a connection application or an application for a pre-feasibility study through the information system for connections egle.ee. To draw up technical conditions or a connection offer, separate network calculations are performed, which can provide more detailed information about connection options and costs.
