The Security of Supply Conference 2019 will take place on June 20th at 10.00 am – 12.30 pm in Radisson Blu Sky Hotel (Rävala pst 3) in Tallinn.

At the conference, the findings of the Elering's new Security of Supply Report and other topical energy issues will be discussed.

In addition to Taavi Veskimägi (CEO, Elering AS), who will be presenting the findings of the Security of Supply report, we are happy to announce our special guests Dimitrios Chaniotis (Chairman of the System Development Committee, ENTSO-E) speaking on the topic "Adequacy Assessment in the context of the Clean Energy Package" and Matt Wieckowski (Case Handler in DG Comp, European Commission) on “Capacity mechanisms: State aid case practice since the sector inquiry“.

The conference in 2018 was held at the Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn on 12 June from 10am to 12:30pm.

Chairman of the Elering management board Taavi Veskimägi summed up the main conclusions from the report on reliability of supply. Florian Ermacora, head of the wholesale electricity and gas markets unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, discussed regulation of the energy market following realization of the Green Energy Package and Mats Persson, Fortum’s Head of Hedging and Pricing, treated the outlook for establishing new power plants from the perspective of a producer on the Nordic-Baltic electricity market.
