From 1 July, Elering will lower the average network charge tariff by 7.6 per cent, which will result in total savings of 6 million euros per year for electricity consumers.

The reduction in network charges is due to the decrease in waste energy costs, depreciation, and permitted profitability and changes in the recognition of cross-border electricity trading revenues.

This is the second consecutive decrease in Elering tariffs. In 2014, the average price tariff fell by 7.8 per cent, and the two decreases together have reduced the average Elering network service charge by around 15 per cent.
