On last Thursday, between 8.20 pm and 8.25 pm, Estonia’s power stations produced a total of 2010 megawatts, which is the highest output figure in recent years.

The generation record was due to the exports of electricity, which accounted for 745 megawatts in that same period. 510 megawatts were exported to Latvia and Lithuania, and 235 megawatts to Finland. At the same time, domestic consumption was 1265 megawatts.

The previous generation record was set on the afternoon of January 6th, 2011, when the power stations produced 1973 megawatts of electricity for a five-minute period.
