From the beginning of April, the electricity seller at 1300 consumption points has changed and in the first four months of the year, the seller has been changed at 12 400 points.

The situation at the beginning of April saw electricity purchase agreements in place at 581 500 consumption points. In total, there were 720 400 consumption points at the beginning of April. Thus, universal service was still used by around 19 per cent of consumption points.

A total of 300 consumption points were added in the last month, as well as more than 200 electricity purchase agreements. Since the start of the year, there have been additions of almost 600 consumption points and 1300 electricity contracts. The number of universal service users have fallen by 700.

The market shares of the electricity sellers for the last few months are presented in the table below. The weights of the portfolios are based on measurements of regional consumption volumes, which include network operators’ network losses in additional to universal service volumes. Fixed-supply consumers have not been included in calculations, the result of which is that the actual market shares of sellers may differ slightly from the information given in the table.
