According to data processed through Elering’s smart grid platform, the electricity seller was changed in 2200 consumption points at the start of February.

In total, there is an agreement for electricity consumption in place at 581 000 consumption points, which is 81 per cent of all consumption points. This figure has remained at more or less the same level for several years. There are approximately 720 000 consumption points in Estonia. 

Universal service users totalled around 139 000 at the start of February. This figure fell by more than 1000 in comparison with the start of January.

The market shares of the balance sheet portfolios of electricity sellers in the final months of last year are given in the table below. The calculation of the weights of the portfolios is based on the region’s measured consumption volumes, which include network operators’ network losses and additionally universal service volumes. Fixed-supply consumers have not been taken into account, which is why sellers’ actual sales shares may differ slightly from that shown in the table.
